Outline
Beginning - Main character (Zack) has a penalty competition, and the short film starts with him in the changing room voicing his thoughts. Rival (Solly) comes into the changing room, and makes a snide comment about winning the comp to Zack. Solly walks out, and focus goes back to Zack. Zack finishes changing, and walks out to crowd cheering. (music is piano high music, with Zack doing voice over). Whistle blows and all the background noise cuts out - cut to black.
Middle - Zoom out of back (football) Solly kicks the ball and scores. Pan up to Solly and he’s laughing to Zack (cocky) Football montage of each of them scoring, running and kicking the ball. Zack is injured by Solly - High pitched ear-ringing SFX in the BG
Ending - fade into white from light. Zack opens his eyes. Referee is hovering over him. Solly takes his penalty - Penalty is saved. Zack goes to take his penalty - tension builds. He scores and wins.
Record of what we did today
Got put into teams (Solly, Ben, David, Zack).
We decided on a ‘production company’ name - Panda Studios.
Creates a logo for our production company (shown above).
We came up with an Idea for a football short film and called it ‘The last shot’. A guy plays a football game and overcomes injury to win.
We decided to make a rough storyboard and also a shot by shot list as out pre production documents as we don't have much dialogue.
I would give the group that did our film a 7.5/10
Evaluation of Concept Productions Pre production documents
- The storyboard was out of order and also missing some panels (it went from 5 to 7)
- There were only two things on the shot by shot list
- The directions on the shot by shot list and storyboard were unclear
- Something that went well was the fact that they put the shot timings in their storyboard
The process of filming the film that was given to us was a bit difficult as stated above, the storyboard was out of order and unclear, and the shot by shot list was incomplete. Despite this fact we managed to put together what we could of the film.

Do you have photos of Panda's pre-production documents and logo you can add in?
